I’m Kira, a photographer from Ventura County, California, now based between coasts. Shft. Media is my photography business and creative home, where I share work inspired by connection, movement, and the places that shape us.
My husband, Carter (from Spartanburg, South Carolina), is often part of the story. We share a long-term dream of sailing the world, and that vision has deeply influenced the direction of Shft. Media. While this is my photography business, it’s shaped by a life and dream we’re building together and told through my lens.
Why Shft?
SHFT. Media was born from a season of change. What started as a shared dream to build a life shaped by movement, creativity, and eventually sailing became the foundation for this work.
If there’s one constant in our marriage, it’s change. Bouncing between coasts, building businesses, and learning to follow what feels aligned.
Today, Shft. Media is a photography-led brand rooted in documenting real life as it unfolds. I hope to always keep shooting and documenting not only the journey toward our dreams, but yours too. From the brands you’re building to family moments and everything in between.
