SHFT. Media was born from a season of change.
Everything is always evolving, and there is beauty in that process.
As a brand, I want Shft. to represent more than photography. I want it to inspire people and brands to lean into their own shifts, the transitions, the beginnings, the endings, and everything in between.
Whether that’s starting a business, growing a family, stepping into a new season of life, or simply wanting to see yourself differently, those moments deserve to be seen and remembered.
That’s what I aim to capture:

Hi there! I’m Kira, a photographer from Ventura County, California, now based between coasts in Greenville, SC. Shft. Media is my photography business and creative home, where I share work inspired by connection, movement, and the places that shape us.
My love for photography started long before I picked up a camera... digging through my grandma’s albums and prints, seeing the moments she held onto, showed me the magic in capturing life. In high school, I discovered the darkroom and started developing my own film. I fell in love with freezing moments, not knowing exactly how the light would hit the frame, and turning everyday scenes into art.
Now, I take photos to freeze time, find the beauty in simple moments, and help bring the dreams of others to life through their work.
My husband, Carter (from Spartanburg, South Carolina), is often part of the story. We share a long-term dream of sailing the world. While this is my photography business, it’s inspired by the life and dreams we’re building together, capturing the world as we see and live it.
