We’re Kira and Carter — I’m from Camarillo, California, and Carter’s from Spartanburg, South Carolina. Together, we created this brand to bring our dream of sailing the world to life.

This site is where we’ll share pieces of that journey — through limited-run merch and photography prints from the places that shape us along the way.

All profits from sales go straight into our boat fund — helping turn this dream into something real.

Why Shft?

This whole thing started out of desperation — the good kind. We found what we thought was the dream boat, docked nearby in Charleston, SC. We were determined to make it ours and did the math: if we sold 'x' amount of T-shirts, we could save up and buy the boat we were ready to call home.

So we started building a brand. We landed on the name SHFT because if there’s one thing that’s been consistent in our marriage, it’s change. From bouncing between coasts, to starting businesses — and selling a few — our life together has been a constant exercise in adapting, adjusting, and embracing every shift that comes our way.

Our “dream boat” has since sold, but the dream is still alive. We’re saving, planning, and searching for the boat we’ll one day call home.

Until then, we’re building this brand as a way to share the journey — through limited-run merch, photography prints, and documenting the process. We hope it brings you more than just sick style and rad wall art. We hope it’s a reminder to chase what matters most — not someday, but now.
